Stuck in the never ending routine of desiring change but nothing ever changes?
Perhaps the problem isn’t that you are lazy, stupid, destitute or whatever you call yourself. The problem often is that we are expecting some great change to materialize into thin air, some other worldly, cataclysmic moment that changes our destiny.
Well, I am here to tell you-that moment may never come. No one is coming to save you. No amount of positive thinking, manifestation, good vibes etc is likely to cause a complete 180 in your life and set you on the path to greatness.
However, things aren’t hopeless! You and your situation can change! Follow this small piece of advice and start moving in the right direction.

Micro Habits
Most of the new, best selling self help books revolve around this topic. There is no secret sauce. You must do the work. The problem is we often don’t know where to start or our problems/desires just feel too big. So we give up before we even begin.
My advice? Start somewhere.
Figure out what the first step is and do it. No matter how small that might be. It’s not rocket science. But thinking it’s much harder than it is can be self defeating.
Want to change your eating habits? Start with one meal. Substitute those mashed potatoes for broccoli.
Want to start exercising? Go for a short walk. Then the next day, go for a longer one. And the next day…keep going!
Want to save money? Start with $5! Cut out a subscription you don’t use but keep putting off unsubscribing.
Want better boundaries? Start saying no. Even if your voice shakes.
All you have to do is start somewhere. Figure out your goals, find small steps towards them and then go do that!
Stop turning mountains into molehills. Examine why you tend to do that. Are you afraid of success? Are you afraid of failing yet again? You only fail when you quit trying!
You’ve been beating yourself up for so long. I wonder what the outcome would be if you started believing in yourself?
How about lets try. Just for today. Believe in yourself.
And when tomorrow comes around, believe in yourself then too!
